Fender USA Stratocaster 1979 Gold Metallic (Pre-Loved)

In 1979, Fender commemorated the Stratocaster's 25th anniversary (first introduced in 1954) with it's inaugural "anniversary" model. Approximately 500 instruments were initially finished in Pear White. However, due to the finish's instability and excessive cracking, these were recalled and refinished in Porsche Silver which became the standard. So here is one of the second-series instruments in fair condition, it's silver finish having aged to a near-golden sheen. The body is made in Ash, a 4-bolt maple 21 fret neck with a large headstock, and 6-aside tuners.
